Custom design:

Your designer will help you with the creation process. At Carter Homes & Design, the design process will likely look something like this:

Initial Consultation & Site Visit
Order geodeticsurvey (if required)
First draft of design given for client's review and editing
Once final design is reached, Development Permit (DP) plans will be finalized (if DP required)
DP application is filed (we will make the application on your behalf, if so desired)
While DP application is being processed we will advance the plans to Building Permit (BP) stage drawings (working drawings) so you can start getting construction pricing
BP application is filed (we will make the application on your behalf, if so desired). A partial permit can usually be pulled upon BP application, allowing some of the work to be completed while awaiting full release
BP is released and remaining construction moves forward
